Hi Guys,
I have created a reference image of Windows 10, I want to capture with a TS for Capture only. I keep getting these errors, been googling around, haven't had much luck...
Thanks
I have two tablets and a chromecast connected over wireless.
I have installed MDT in one of the tablet, with deployment share on a SD card. I have added OS, added my applications, and drivers for chromecast. Created task sequences for deploy and created media. The ISO file is transfered to USB. I was able to install OS in the chromecast using the USB.
Now the issue
The application installations is downloading some additional components from internet. I am thinking of capturing the image from the tablet as is and load to chromecast.
I have created the capture sequence.
I have updated the media, Went into Media folder, content\deploy\scripts\litetouch.vbs and selected the capture task.
It has four steps, selecting the sequence, admin pasword and asking for network credential. I dont have a domain as these are two tablets connected over a simple wireless router. I cannot connect these device to my company network as they are not company audited OS.
I've created a custom image and added a new task sequence and each time it returns the attached error. It does work fine with my base image (from the OEM disc). Not sure what the issue is. I am using VMWare machine. I thought at first the hard drive was not large enough. I made a new VM with a 100GB hard drive, same issue results.

I removed packages and provisioned packages for all windows store apps in a new base image for 1511 Pro but Sysprep keeps hanging on "package installed for a user but not provisioned for all users" The package is WindowsAlarms. Getappxpackage, and get-appxprovisioned packages doesnt show it at all, its not in the list in the settings dialouge for removing apps and it isnt in the start menu, but it does show up when i search for alarm - but it doesnt launch. I assume this is just junk somewhere in the registry that needs to be blown out but I dont really know enough about the UWA model to deep dive. Any ideas?
Thanks,

MDT 2013 Update 2
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
I built a new server, and I was able to install a brand new Windows 10 Pro 64-bit image on a laptop (HP EliteBook 850 G3) with no errors at all. Although, it was missing 3 drivers (bluetooth drivers, and NXP NewFieldProximity Provider driver, which were later found by a Microsoft update). I built my reference computer, and then progressed to capturing it by launching LiteTouch.vbs from my deploymentshare$. It runs successfully until the "Running action: Execute Sysprep" part. At this point, I am still able to ping the server, and browse to all folders and files in the deploymentshare$. However, when I look in Device Manager, I don't see any network adapters (except for the MS Kernel Debug Network Adapter). When I end the SysPrep tool from task manager, I get the following error message: "Can not find script file '\\SERVER\DeploymentShare$\Scripts\LTICleanup.wsf'." Then I can no longer ping the server or browse the deploymentshare$ I also get the following Deployment Summary:
Hello Community,
I meet a problem while creating a Media from the DeploymentShare - Advanced Configuration - Media - Media001 - Update Media Content.
I use this method to create a USB MDT media for the Branch Office where there is no server.
It worked in the past but from the upgrade to WAIK 10 / WinPE 10, I'm unable to create a new Media...
Find below the message when I try to Update the media contents :
System.Management.Automation.CmdletInvocationException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Of course, the Media folder is not inside the DeploymentShare, it's at the root of my D: drive.
How could I solve this problem? An idea?
Thanks by advance ! :)
I am using MDT 2013 to make a fresh image on a VM and am failing at syspreping it before capture.
This is the error:
SYSPRP WindowsSideShow: Failed to get task folder (0x80070002)
SYSPRP LaunchDll:Failure occurred while executing 'C:\Windows\System32\AuxiliaryDisplayClassInstaller.dll,WindowsSideShow_Sysprep_Generalize', returned error code 31
SYSPRP RunExternalDlls:An error occurred while running registry sysprep DLLs, halting sysprep execution. dwRet = 31
SYSPRP WinMain:Hit failure while processing sysprep generalize internal providers; hr = 0x8007001f
I went as far as to just install Win7Enterprise with no apps and still failed. After reading some posts I tried by removing:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\Sysprep\Generalize\{b636fa27-124f-6436-6a6f-2fe2739a2b89} per this post and this worked!
I guess my question is should this just be a test or a workaround and should I just delete this key before syspreping every time? What am I losing by removing this key?
Very new to sysprep so I am still learning.
Thanks,
ScottWe have just begun using MDT 2013 at work (never used anything like it before) and I was having some issues. I have it set so that when imaging a new computer with a fresh image I have the Applications Wizard appear with check boxes for what software to install. But no matter what I check, everything in all the bundles will install.
If I have a bundle with Office Pro and Stnd, Visio, and Project, I can check mark Office Stnd and Visio but I end up with both Offices and both Visio and Project installed on the system.
Any ideas of what might be done wrong? Any more information you might need?
Hi,
I am getting this error when trying to connect to the deployment share.
Unable to connect to share: The network path was not found.
( 0x80070035 ) , trying to connect without username.
If I manually connect the the MDT Share with the same credentials as in the bootstrap.ini I can connect fine.
Any ideas ?

Hi,
We are using MDT 2013 Update 2 to deploy laptops (Dell Latitude) on Windows 7 and Windows 10 with Bitlocker Encryption (using TPM and storing the Recovery Key in AD). All is working as expected.
But when trying to do the same for Surface Pro 4 with Windows 10 and Bitlocker Encryption, it fails at the "Enable Bitlocker" task in the task Sequence with the following message:
Failed to run the action: Enable Bitlocker.
The specified Enlistment object could not be opened, because it was not found (Error: 00001A3D; Source: Windows)
Any idea?
Thank you

Hello and thank you in advance for reading this post.
I am having an issue with MDT 2013 Update 2. The issue is that AutoLogon, using the built-in Administrator account, is not working, but only on certain models of computers. On some it goes through without a hitch, on the problematic ones, I have to manually type in the .\administrator and password to login, and then the task sequence finishes as normal. I can provide any logs that you might want to look at. Hoping that someone else has seen this issue and has a fix for it.
Thanks!
Hi All
I'm sure its a simple question, but how do I start a task sequence from a client ?? I can pxe boot no problem, but is there a script I can run, that would mount the wim and do the pc reinstall ???
Thanks
When you create a offline media MDT doesn't copy applications to media automatically. Is this a bug or am I missing something? Using the latest MDT. Currently I will manually copy the applications to offline media before building the ISO file
Hi,
I'm trying to install a HP Elitebook 2560p with Windows 7 x64. However, Windows PE x64 is unable to locate the hard drive. Usually, I would make a guess that there is a storage driver missing but I have added all storage drivers available at HP's website. Also, the disk is a regular SATA 320GB disk(non SSD), I have never experienced that you need to add drivers to that kind of computer/disk manually before. If I boot Windows PE x86 instead, the drive is located. I listed the disks in diskpart and I don't see the disk at all in Windows PE x64 diskpart but it's listed in Windows PE x86 diskpart.
Does anyone else have a similar experience or a solution to my problem?
Thanks!
I'm trying to run a "capture image" sequence. The OS installs no problem, but during the capture sequence, DISM keeps failing. If I remove all applications and packages from the selection profile, the capture is successful. But as soon as I add an application, DISM fails with the manifest error. This sequence was previously working for me. I even created a new MDT server/library, but it's still failing.
The relevant portion of the DISM log is pasted below. Any insight would be appreciated.
