In the MDT database, is there a way to assign multiple roles to one particular make/model but choose what role should be assigned via the Deployment Wizard?
We have one particular machine - HP2730P - that has three different roles, depending on the job responsibilities of the end-user. If I create X, Y, and Z roles, and assign them all to the "Hewlett Packard HP EliteBook 2730p" in my Make/Model section, how can I select between the roles at the time of deployment? Is there a way to implement the selection via the wizard? Or, at this point, must I use the Computers table and specify each piece of hardware?
I'm attempting to design an imaging workbench (physical lab environment.) The support technicians who will be booting into WinPE and utilizing Litetouch should have just enough options to perform their tasks. If they have three HP2730Ps on the bench, and each one needs a different role, how is that accomplished with as little interaction with the Wizard as possible?
