Force _SMSTaskSequence folder to C: Drive

Hello,

I have noticed that the Task Sequence variable SMSTSLocalDataDrive
selects the largest disk during OS Deployment.

So if D: partition is larger than C: partiton, then _SMSTaskSequence folder will be stored on D: partition.

In my case, I need to control this behaviour by ensuring that the _SMSTaskSequence folder is stored on C: drive.
I am able to do this by defining the SMSTSLocalDataDrive as an Collection Variable and setting the value to C:.

However, this will be an issue when it comes to systems that has BitLocker partition, where the BitLocker partition is stored as the first partition
on the disk and will have the C: driver letter assigned in WinPE. Therefore I can't set SMSTSLocalDataDrive to C: and I can't create any custom WMI script
to be ran during TS, as this variable must be set before the TS is started.

As I can't find any variables that defines which target partition I shall override SMSTSLocalDataDrive with,
is there anyone whom have been into the same scenario ?

There is an bug with USMT 4.0 Restore regards to this as well, when using Hardlink - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2269650,
so I guess someone has found an workaround.

PS, I am using SCCM 2007 and MDT 2010 in this case.

Thanks for your kind assitance.

Best Regards Anders Horgen
