Hello, hope someone can help me.
We have in the last 6 month moved from using ghost to using mdt 2010 as our deployment method. For the first few months I have had no real issue with drivers installing to the correct devices (well nothing that has caused a problem). Now I am getting an issue with a Lenovo driver installing onto a few other devices. This driver causes a black screen for about a minute before logon.
I have been looking into a better method of driver management as i have been using an almost total chaos approach. I did separate the drivers into a make and model structure from the start and have now tried to use drivergroup to install only the correct drivers for the specific model using the %model% variable. This does not seem to install all the drivers even though they are all present on mdt. I know all the drivers are there because they all install if i remove the drivergroup step and keep the inject drivers selection profile to “all drivers”.
I did try to follow a post i found by Johan Arwidmark. I just don’t seem to be able to get it to work<//span>
If i get this working would i need a new task sequence for each device model i want to deploy windows 7 on to?
If i need to add more information please let me know and i will do my best but I am new to the mdt deployment and am by no means an expert
many thanks
