After adding out of box drivers for our laptops, it appears that inappropriate drivers intended for laptops are being installed on desktop PCs during the deployment process.
When I deploy a desktop PC via MDT 2012, I now get Windows Action Center message that pops up saying "Download and install the driver for Synaptics Touchpad. Synaptics Touchpad is missing a driver. An update is available that solves this problem."
Since these are desktop PCs that do not have touchpads, what can be done to prevent this so touchpad drives only install on laptops and not desktop PCs?
Also, when I look in the device manager, I don't see any device claiming to be a touchpad. So, I can't even find the driver so I can uninstall it or roll it back to the correct driver. It only shows "Microsoft PS/2 Mouse."
