Windows PE ImageX for creating backup/restore image of XP system

Greetings,

I want to use Imagex to create backup images of my XP system, the purpose of which is a quick restore andNOT FOR DEPLOYMENT to other PCs.

I used Imagex Capture and Apply, and the boot on a test drive worked, except that it wanted to go through a validation, which fails.

Question: What is the easiest way to create an image for restoration purposes only to the PC from which it was created?
