I have a situation that is repeating itself more often lately...
We have a laptop model that has WAN capability and we have the same model without. Since the WMIC is the same for both, I'm not sure how to force the WAN driver on the model that has it, yet not on the one without. If I try to install the WAN driver on a model without the card, it breaks the TS. For now, I have the driver in the optional software menu to choose just before launching the TS. People forget to choose it and then have to manually run the install.
It would help me understand a bit more of what MDT can do if I can learn how to do conditional installs based on things such as hardware detection.
Can someone explain the most effective way of assigning driver installs based on hardware? Then I can apply that concept to other things.
